Qualifications

Required
5+ years technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 3+ years technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience
• System Administration, Configuration of Windows and Linux Operating systems
• Windows and Linux Event Logs, Syslogs
• Windows and Linux Performance analysis using built in performance counters
• Windows and Linux Patch and Security Update Management
• Network connectivity for both private and public networks
• Conceptual knowledge of Windows Active Directory, Security, and Access Control
• Automating Operating System tasks through the use of Powershell, Python, or similar scripting language

Experience in one or more of these areas desirable
• Web app development in C# or Java programming
• ASP.NET, MVC application development or support
• Understanding of Databases and how to retrieve data via query language
• Containers solutions such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Cloud computing in general (Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform)

Technical Expertise (Required in one or more of each area)
• Experience with B/S software developing and troubleshooting from frontend to backend.
• Knowledge on the webapp programming and debugging: C/C++, C#, VB.NET, Asp.NET, JavaScript. Better to have knowledge of language Java, PHP, Python, Node.js.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft IIS platform, including configuration, development and troubleshooting on IIS.
• Experience of using and troubleshooting on Azure platform, especially with Azure SignalR and Azure Bot service.
• Hands on troubleshooting and development experiences on the modern browsers: eg, Internet Explorer, Edge Chromium, Google Chrome, Firefox, etc, be aware of their differences and unique features.
• Knowledge on the frontend webapp programming and debugging : HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Good understanding of the standard HTTP and networking protocols: HTTP, FTP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSL.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to use various data collection tools and methodologies to analyze problems, determine root cause and develop solutions.

Experience with:• Leveraging the various troubleshooting & debugging tools (E.g. Process Monitor, Process Explorer, Fiddler, Network Monitor, WireShark, windbg, etc.) to diagnose and address the complex issues.
• Excellent communication to have comfortable conversations with the customers : create clarity, make yourself understood, avoid the confusions and be confident under the pressure.
• Good understanding of the concepts of Operating Systems and networking is required
• Development experience is beneficial but not required:
o Two or more years in software development, consulting or support with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Client, Server and Development products and technologies.
o MCP Certified in at least one of the Microsoft Programming Technologies


Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.
