As a Sr Manager, Software Engineering part of Sam’s Club, you will help coach and guide the team, partner with our Architects, Engineers, Product, UX, and Ops teams, to ensure we build quality, sustainable, scalable products for our Associates and Members.
What you'll do:
Lead a team of engineers to build quality software and hardware solutions for our Associates and Members that reduce waste and gain efficiency
Ensure Software Quality Engineering by keeping the engineers up to date on best practices, automated code testing, alerts, reporting, and taking a proactive approach to production running app support.
Work closely with the Program and Product Manager, and Scrum Champion to ensure engineering work is pointed and prioritized correctly.
Work Cross functionally with your Peers In Club Tech to leverage tools, code, and share ideas to improve all engineering.
Partner with Key Vendors as needed to research, leverage and procure the hardware and software components needed for In Club
Assist in the development, training, and mentoring of associates by providing guidance, and building a team-based work environment;
Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open-Door Policy.
Willing to participate in recruiting, intern programs, and support In Club peers with interviewing potential candidates as needed.
Having 1-2 years of management experience of a large tech team is helpful, but any management experience will do.
Experience with agile software delivery methodologies
Retail experience a plus
What you'll bring:
Experience working in an agile environment, preferably experience with multiple agile methodologies.
Professional experience as a Software Engineer across both front-end and back-end technology stacks.
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Ability to drive continuous improvement across various team activities, processes and technologies.
Great problem-solving skills and ability to manage issues independently.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Minimum Qualifications...These jobs might be a good fit
