As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of an expert team tasked to design and develop components of its next-generation mapping system. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Analysing designing and implementing system software. Which brings functionality, accuracy, reliability, and scalability to Akamai's mapping system.
• Developing innovative and elegant solutions in a highly dynamic environment.
• Collaborating across engineering teams and other stakeholders to integrate and deliver features on time.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field & 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in C++ or any object-oriented language
• Have experience in building scalable servers or distributed systems
• Have an understanding of Linux operating system
• Be knowledgeable in scripting (e.g. Perl, Python, shell)
• Have the ability to understand Network protocols such as DNS/HTTP/TCP/IP
• Participate in the design, development, improvement, operation, and automation of distributed systems.
