BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in science or engineering
- Minimum of 3-5 years of engineering experience, preferably in the automation or industrial equipment industry, with exposure to safety engineering in product development
- Knowledge of EMC regulations pertaining to FCC, Industry Canada, CE, UKCA, EN 61000-6-x, etc.
- Knowledge of Product Safety standards such as UL, CSA, LVD, NFPA and OSHA regulations.
- Experience supporting EMI/EMC, product safety and wireless certification programs by means of identifying equipment needs, documentation needs, support equipment needs, staging and support of equipment to be tested, debug capabilities, etc.
- Familiarity with the engineering design process and requirements generation
- Experience certifying new products- Experience in supporting engineering change control processes
- Experience in evaluating compliance of 3rd party products.
- Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills.

DESCRIPTION

Key job responsibilities
• Ensure that Amazon products are safe, compliant, operationally effective, and cost effective.
• Work with the Compliance, Engineering, Operations teams and other Amazon organization to certify Amazon’s industrial equipment.
• Educate customers on the regulatory requirements for new and existing products.
• Help guide compliant design development and verification through test and validation activities.
• Work with certifying agencies and organizations to ensure new and existing designs comply with local, regional and national regulations.
• Work with our internal and 3rd party labs to test and validate Amazon products testing from a hardware and software perspective.
• Work with Amazon suppliers to communicate regulatory requirements and verify compliance.
• Create and execute EMI/EMC test plans, review test reports and ensure regulatory compliance documents are accurate.
• Work with internal and external product safety labs to certify Amazon products.
• Manage and process ECO’s, MCO’s and DECO’s through Agile (PLM).
