IBM Storage Defender mission in India Systems Development Lab is looking for Senior Development Manager, who is passionate about and deeply skilled in Data Resiliency & Data Protection. Focus is on SaaS deployments that require Data resilience and comprises of workloads like Enterprise Application and Packages, DBs, Virtual Environments i.e VMs that are to be backed up and restored from Hard Drives, COS, Tapes and vendor specific storage h/w and s/w products (IBM and others a plus).


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Having experience in Product Engg/Development is a must, apart from that here are some specific expectations:
  • 16+ years of relevant experience of working on Enterprise Class Products, experience in dealing with products that involve system skills will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Storage Software, Virtualization and Backup/Restore systems and practices.
  • Excellent people management skills and ability to provide technical guidance to a team of experienced professionals. Experience in leading/managing a team of QA, development and support engineers.
  • Ability to handle multiple scrum teams and scrum of scrums.
  • Proficiency in planning, tracking and supervising outcome-oriented activities during the course of product development and support cycles.
  • Ability to design and implement techniques and processes to collect and report on various metrics related to resourcing, scheduling and release aspects of product development and support activities.
  • Proficiency in tools like gitHub/Jira/RTC/MS-Project is a must.
  • Foster product nnovation.
  • Excellent Communication, people management and leadership skills.
