Tax Advisor, National Tax, Private Tax – Partner of the Firm (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1600632), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Dallas, TX.

Provide technical planning and advising of clients on various individual tax compliance matters including high-profile individuals of extremely high net-worth. Oversee the preparation of tax returns, interacting with the client to obtain outstanding information and make arrangements to file tax returns. Analyze implementation of new tax laws and tax methods of accounting, as well as tax calculations for compliance. Responsible for identifying complex tax issues and providing recommended solutions by conducting research and/or position development. Provide advice and assistance to clients in managing risks across tax compliance and/or advisory services. Compile and evaluate complex data, computations, documentation, and various tax and accounting technologies.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Tax, Law or a related field and 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressive work experience in tax or financial planning. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Tax, Law or a related field and 4 years of work experience in tax or financial planning.Must have 4 years of experience in federal and state personal income tax.Must have 4 years of experience in all of the following automated tax processing systems: CCH Access, Excel, RIA Checkpoint, and SurePrep.Must have 4 years of experience in conducting tax law research.Must have 4 years of experience in partnership taxation.Must have 4 years of experience in High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth.Must have at least one of the following: 1) active CPA certification; 2) sufficient coursework/experience requirements (as determined by state Board of Accountancy) to obtain CPA certification within one year of hire; 3) US State Bar license; 4) sufficient coursework/experience requirements (as determined by state Board of Law Examiners) to obtain US State Bar license within one year of hire; or 5) Enrolled Agent certification.Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
