Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Technical project management or engineering experience in material development, mechanical design, simulation, or manufacturing process development.
- Ability to travel internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry experience (preferably Battery, Display, or other high-tech manufacturing) of taking technologies from concept definition to mass production.
- Demonstrated adeptness in working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment; engaged and eager to learn
- Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills as well as the ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience.
- Experienced in setting up project plans, anticipate potential roadblocks and react proactively to mitigate against risks or impacts.
- Ability to comprehend, communicate and manage complex design tradeoffs.
- Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity. Highly adept in multi-tasking of both short-term and long-term activities.
- Experience with emphasis on lithium ion or lithium polymer battery cells a plus.
- Experience in lithium-based battery.
- Knowledge of current state of the art production processes in batteries, display, or other high-tech materials.
- Experience in working with suppliers to design, build, and qualify new factories.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
