Job purpose and deliverables

The Compute Partner Marketing communication specialist will play a critical role in shaping and evolving Qualcomm’s partner engagement strategy and programs in EMEA and support OEMs to educate and excite both channel and consumers on the benefits of the Snapdragon compute platforms. In this role you will be responsible for developing and leading local OEM/partner relationships and marketing programs to help drive business results for Qualcomm and those of our partners.

The position requires a deep understanding of marketing strategies, product positioning, data and analytics, customer management/support and ability to quickly understand and communicate the benefits to OEMs and partners locally.

HQ/EMEA

  • Work with San Diego product and partner marketing teams to understand value proposition for the category and product roadmap as it relates to EMEA

  • Build a network into the San Diego Business, marketing, PR, social, digital, channel training and brand teams to provide OEMs support in GTM strategy for EMEA including OEM, channel sales and marketing support

  • Work with Category and OEM BD leads in EMEA to prioritize countries, OEMs and retailers and build a business plan for each

  • Produce a monthly consumer channel report covering relevant market insights, sales and promotional results and up-coming actions

OEM

  • OEM/Partner account management. Focus on how best to strengthen and grow relationships with OEMs and partners. Work to understand OEM/partner needs, business drivers, marketing approach and develop the programs and tools to help meet those needs.

  • Working with category and country BD leads, build and develop relationships with key OEM partners at EU and local country level to drive Snapdragon compute sales and ensure Snapdragon-powered device market share grows and that Qualcomm is represented appropriately in marketing materials.

  • To use the relationships to gain market insights and build credible knowledge base within the organization

  • Manage partner engagement and GTM planning at local level

  • Work with OEM PR leads and local/HQ PR team to maximise coverage at device launch and align messaging.

  • Work with OEM training and category leads to deliver training programmes across the sales, marketing and training teams of the OEM

  • Work with OEM and Partner marketing global leads to OEM device launch pack (includes relevant logos, trademarks and guidelines, benchmarks)

  • Report OEM sales by OEM and work with EMEA team to communicate consumption market share

  • Set up partners on brand portal and assist creation and approval of locally produced asset

  • Create a directory of partner assets and images

MDF

  • Manage and local MDF revenue programs with channel partners including:

  • Working with global team to manage Contract set up and (FCPA if needed)

  • Establish process for reporting sales and making payments

  • Purchase requisition and reporting

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

Associate's degree and 5+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

High School Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Looking for a team player with a passion for marketing and desire to help shape and evolve Qualcomm’s partner marketing programs. A drive for engaging with partners and customers to build strong and mutually beneficial relationships is a must. The ideal candidate will have solid creative, communication, customer management and analytical capabilities with relevant partner/customer marketing experience and deep consumer marketing experience.

  • 4 + years partner marketing, customer relationship marketing or related within the technology space/ consumer or commercial channel (retail, online) and marketing experience in technology companies with detailed knowledge of commercial and consumer OEMS and channels for PCs

  • Preferred experience within semiconductor, communications or technology space

  • Ability to defining and execute consumer and commercial channel programs.

  • Experience of driving cross-functional team to create a comprehensive plan with dependencies identified and critical issues/paths.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to deliver clear messages on issue identification and resolution through schedules, trackers, and campaign status updates

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • Resourceful and solution-driven

  • Ability to drive and maintain cross-functional processes.

  • Ability to move projects forward without all details determined.

  • Strong team player and ability to interact with all levels.

  • Flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

  • Comfortable with budget management

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong in MS Suite

Preferred Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business

• MS or MBA preferred in Marketing or Communications
