Description:
Responsible for estimation processes for primarily Building Automation Solutions for commercial applications to deliver high quality and cost competitive bids to enabling HBS Sales targets.
- Estimation
- Input study, generation of RFI’s, HVAC equipment take-off, preparation of IO summary, DDC controller choice, field device selection, preparation of BOQ, costing, valve selection, conduit and cable schedule.
- Requirements and Cost (Taxes, 3 rd party commission, etc.)
- Studying specifications to arrive at inclusions/exclusions and Technical qualifications/ assumptions.
- Document all, including Deviations and Compliance
- Vendor Management
- RFQ generated to solicit subcontractor bids for inclusion to proposal, identifying properly all deliverables to obtain most effective bid for HBS.
- Subcontractor Cost evaluation through tool, with capability to estimate subcontractor costs based on conduit measurements, and expected Subcontractor activities matching specifications.
- Technical submittals: Preparation of system architecture, floor risers, control schematics, specification compliance etc. as needed per regional requirements.
- Proposal Generation
- Generate Statement of Work including inclusion/exclusion and deliverables, defining compliance to Specifications.
- Contributing and tracking the regional and customer vertical technical preferences on estimations, awareness of the product ranges, ability to apply knowledge and understanding of Honeywell products to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Assist in mentorship and quality check of work as required.
- Contribute towards establishing & standardization of new processes for cost optimization & cycle time reduction.
- Understanding of new construction ecosystem and actions to identify the lowest total installed cost within specifications.
- Includes Value Engineering opportunities determination
- Sound Knowledge of Honeywell Building Solutions business processes and systems.
•3+ years of experience in estimating Building Automation
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
•Master's degree or professional certification
•Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders from different geographic regions in multiple time zones
