Key job responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Field Safety Engineer are as follows:
-Perform safety risk assessments during all development phases of a product.
-Validating contractor credentials to ensure they are certified/trained/competent to perform the required work and review contractor safety risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHA).
- BS degree in an Environment, Health, and Safety discipline or engineering field.
- 3-5 years of experience working on industrial construction projects with strong understanding of industry safety standards and regulations.
- Must be familiar with applicable construction safety regulations and guidelines, including OSHA 30, 500 and 510.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skill with confidence to present to large executive audiences.
- Experience with machinery safety
- Knowledge of ANSI B56.5, ANSI B155.1, RIA 15.06, ISO 13849, NFPA 79
