Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments
- Strong knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
- Experience with multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
- Drives to develop infrastructure engineering knowledge of additional domains, data fluency, and automation knowledge
- Advanced Level of Networking Skills; extensive knowledge of routing and switching, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, multicast.
- Basic Level of Network diagnostic methods, tools, and interpreting packet captures
- Basic Level of Security and Risk exposure assessments and mitigation
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- CCNP, CCIE with extensive knowledge of:
- Enterprise class routers (Cisco ASR, GSR, CRS-1)
- Cisco IOS software including exposure to IOS XR
- MPLS -roles of P, PE, CE, VRFs, etc.
- Routing Protocols BGP, OSPF, and ISIS
- Other technologies -NAT, Multicast, QoS
- Basic Optical Technologies: DWDM, PoS, Ethernet
