Your Skills andExpertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the followingqualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in chemistry, or chemical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution
- Three (3) years of combined experience in a Sustainability related role in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Five (5) years of combined experience in a Sustainability related role in a private, public, government or military environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
- Excellent chemical and/or mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills; practical and hands-on, with analytical comprehension and data driven decision making
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Statistical Analysis
- Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams from multiple locations and divisions
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity and change
- Master’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in chemistry, or chemical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution

- Hybrid (3 days in office)
