As a Controls Manager within the Cross Border Control Framework team at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, you will be the first line of defence against operational risks, ensuring a sustainable and disciplined control environment. You will work with multiple business partners globally to ensure compliance and manage emerging risks. This role provides an opportunity to develop a deep understanding of systems and processes, extract insights from existing data, formulate complex reporting, and lead and support working groups that define, promote, and execute complex and robust initiatives.Job Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of systems and processes to extract insights from existing data and formulate complex reporting.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of global data, leveraging data integration tools such as Qlik Sense, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, and scripting languages.
- Develop and manage Business Control Committee (BCC) reports/governance MI, provide updates, and assist in writing commentary for various governance forums.
- Leverage project management knowledge to translate business needs into actionable design analysis and support ad-hoc control and project management activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the PB to identify, define, and implement cross-border controls.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:
- Data and Analytical Skills : Clear, logical thinker with strong data analysis and problem-solving skills; able to develop and clearly present conclusions, gaps, and trends.
- Technical Proficiency : Expertise in data integration tools and proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, with a high aptitude for learning new technologies.
- Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to summarize findings into concise, high-level points geared towards the audience and visually depict key data and findings.
- Project Management : Project management experience to lead and support working groups that define, drive, and execute complex and robust initiatives.
: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, ideally in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Finance, or Economics.
