In this role, you will be the product leader responsible for addressing material product performance improvement opportunities. These opportunities span various categories including product design, product bugs and suboptimal or erroneous customer interaction. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to resolve high-value opportunities to drive incremental revenue for PayPal and increased conversion for customers. You will interact with clients as a strategic thought leader to drive these win-win outcomes. Furthermore, you will investigate the root cause that led to suboptimal product performance and address it. You will manage a backlog of performance improvement opportunities in partnership with Engineering, Merchant Servicing and other domain product managers. You will also partner with Merchant Servicing to automate client engagement for common customer issues. These activities will lead to higher product performance and elevated customer satisfaction.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on a backlog of product performance improvement opportunities spanning client facing and internal root causes
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and analytics, to achieve targets.
  • Prioritize based on complexity and payoff to maximize payoff
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that learnings are incorporated into go-forward software development
  • Where appropriate, ensure suboptimal documentation and processes are updated.
  • Track contributions and make data-driven decisions to improve the product.
  • Inject AI/ML methodologies into the performance optimization process to drive faster and larger scale realization of objectives
  • Evangelize the vision for Product Health and ensure product roadmaps incorporate corresponding best practices and standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to product performance and observability platforms and make recommendations on how to incorporate them into our products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-8+ years of product management experience, preferably in a software or technology company.
  • Experience developing products with AI and ML methodologies
  • Strong technical background, with experience in software development, DevOps, or observability platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product vision and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
