Your Career
As an IT Network Engineer at Palo Alto Networks, you will be part of a team supporting our corporate network, data centers, engineering labs and cloud services network infrastructure. You will be a key contributor in the daily network operations and will be an escalation point for our Service Desk, Operations, DevOps and engineering.
Your Impact
- Deploy and manage LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks to meet business objectives
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, topologies, and processes
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues efficiently
- Collaborate with global IT and security team to mitigate network vulnerabilities
- Participate in incident response to resolve escalated via on-call duties
- Proactively monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving network infrastructure
- Act as an escalation point and mentor for our Tier 1 team members
- Lead local and global projects from the initiation to implementation in alignment with global IT policies
Your Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a network engineer in large enterprises
- In depth understanding of TCP/IP and Layer2 switching protocols
- Comprehensive understanding of all routing protocols, especially, BGP and OSPF, with a rich history of real-world experience
- Hands on experience in deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting firewalls (preferably Palo Alto Networks)
- Experience using wireshark or similar networking debugging tools
- Experience using Monitor tools and understanding of SNMP protocol
- High level internetworking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment
- Proven superb communication skills, including the ability to write network and security documentation, policies, and guidelines
- Comprehensive knowledge of Wireless networks, IPSEC and VPN protocols
- Being familiar with Cloud base environments, GCP, AWS and Azure
- Analytical problem solving and troubleshooting ability - exceptionally organized, self-motivated individual that can juggle across multiple priorities
- Proficiency working with CLI shell in multiple vendors like Cisco ,Arista, Aruba etc
- Comfortable knowledge in diverse OS environments - MAC, Windows and Linux
- Expert knowledge of data center designs, build-out, and standard methodologies
- Superb communication skills, including the ability to write network and security documentation, policies, and guidelines
- Ability to work nights and weekends as part of 24/7 on-call support
- Preferred certifications CCIE, CCSP, CCDP, CCNP
