DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will work on system configurations, service integrations and testing of software deployed at Amazon Installations around the world which utilize our mobile robotics platform. You will drive Robotics fleet retrofit projects to improve the performance, reliability and safety of globally deployed robotic and automation systems. Your role will have a primary focus on new site launches.Working in close collaboration with Software, Retrofit, Hardware, Reliability and Maintenance and Deployment Engineers, you will own integration and retrofit projects from strategic planning through execution and validation.Key job responsibilities
- Oversee multiple robotics implementation, upgrade and enhancement projects ensuring program goals are met; identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and driving change for the identified opportunities.- Create and maintain problem resolution procedures and identify need for new tools to support existing solutions.- Monitor queues and respond to issues within defined SLAs.
- May become a subject matter expert in one or more areas or robotics engineering and or program management, serving as a point of escalation on critical issues.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Process improvement methodology (Six Sigma, TQM, Kai-zen and Lean manufacturing methodology ).
- Experience working with AWS services such as S3, EC2, SNS, SQS.
- Knowledge and/or working experience with Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu).
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Proven ability to root cause issues, drive improvements, and apply preventive measures
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical discussions with a variety of groups, including Software, Hardware and Systems Engineering, Operations, and Senior Management.
- Proven ability to project manage complex technical projects.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements
- Certified in AWS services (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect)
- Certified in Process improvement methodology (Six Sigma, TQM, Kai-zen and Lean manufacturing methodology )
- Certified in Linux Red Hat.
- Demonstrated examples of a drive to dig into the details of a system or process to solve customer problems.
- Strong analytical problem-solving with a metrics-driven focus on frugality without sacrificing safety or customer satisfaction.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Exposure to two or more of the following programming languages (Java, C++, Python, Shell Scripting, Java Script).
