Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
- Code, design, and testing in a heterogeneous technology environment e.g. JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc.
- Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit, component testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing capabilities.
- Adheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policies.
- Contribute and collaborate in creation and consumption of open, standards-based solutions, while working with existing J.P.Morgan technologies and infrastructure.
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on Web UI Software development, Web UI fundamentals & Architecture and related technologies and 5+ years applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Strong knowledge and experience on Javascript, Java, Web Framework.
- Strong exposure to React, Javascript and related technologies.
- Strong knowledge and experience on Testing Automation, such as BDD, Cucumber, etc.
- Strong knowledge and experience on performance profiling.
- Good experience in Single Page App development using React for creating interactive UI's, Virtual DOM, Component life cycle, React, JSX, React Router ecosystem and concepts.
- Good experience in Application development in TypeScript or JavaScript and its code rules.
- Good experience in customizing CSS frameworks like Bootstrap and Foundation using CSS.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Overall deep experience in delivering technology solutions.
- Extensive web development experience.
- Expert level experience with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Jenkins or similar tools.
- Practical cloud native experience.
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
