What a typical day looks like:
- Mechanical: Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems and production machines and equipment.Or,Electrical: Maintains and troubleshoots in-circuit and functional testers, associated test fixtures, stress chambers and chamber racks to ensure manufacturing test equipment is on-line.
- Define/develop electronics workmanship and requirements
- Machine troubleshooting
- Machine set-up
- Provide training to machine operator
- Systematically handling of instrument documentation
- Create machine maintenance plan
- Spare part control
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Insure low machine down time
- Analyze quality or production problem and take countermeasure
- Through troubleshooting, identifies machine malfunctions and isolates the failure mechanism.
- Repairs the failure mechanism in the most cost-effective manner.
- Performs preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules.
- Performs calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules.
- Assists process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment.
- Researches and implements corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms.
- Records times and problems in equipment logs.
- Provides daily equipment functioning activity information.
- Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.
- Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.
- Aligns repairs, replaces, and balances component parts and circuitry.
- Devises formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations.
- Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.
- May require travel to other sites of Company or equipment vendors' locations.
- Highest level may perform both software and hardware maintenance.
- Allocating work to a team of fitters.
- Checking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate.
- Fitting new parts.
- Carrying out quality inspections.
- Acknowledging immediately to equipment breakdowns.
- Fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed.
- Keeping production managers informed of progress.
- Organizing teams or unipersonal to make sure that 24-hour cover is available.
- Working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or computerized systems.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires an bachelor degree or above in related field, military technical training or equivalent education and training.
- Preferable major is electronic and/or mechanical engineering.
- Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
- 2-3 years working experience in production with electronic products knowledge of electrical instruments i.e. tests instruments and fixtures within electronic production.
- Good ITknowledge, MS office skills.
- Good skill in reading, writingEnglish,speaking Englishwill be a plus
