- Developing and overseeing implementation of programs designed to improve cycle time, reduce quality discrepancies, and optimize cost throughout 3M’s global transportation network.
- Focusing on customers with identification of improved service programs and speed and reliability across inbound and outbound logistics flows
- Implementing improvement programs aimed at optimizing the transportation networks within 3M across all modes of transport.
- Providing strategic insights on logistics capabilities and market realities to 3M’s Business Supply Chain stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively across 3M supply chain entities to drive resiliency in 3M transportation models.
- Assisting 3M logistics leadership in driving strategic initiatives and critical KPIs that require 3rd Party Logistics Support
- Providing strong analytical and project management skills to drive complex and cross-functional opportunities
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Three (3) years of Supply Chain or Logistics experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Five + years of experience in a transportation function for a manufacturing company
- Experience leading complex and cross functional programs
- Experience with SAP ERP Software
- Ability to work on multiple cross functional projects with tight timelines
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Work location:
- Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to 3M Center St. Paul at least 2 days per week)
