The Wealth Planning Consultants sit on the Wealth Strategy team, inside J.P. Morgan Private Advisory – a team of specialized advice practices within the Private Bank. Our Consultants are a centralized team at the forefront of driving adoption of Wealth Planning Advice across the firm. As a Wealth Planning Consultant you will be primarily responsible for providing consulting, coaching and training to Bankers and Investors, other integrated team members and in-market leadership throughout the country. You will develop strong partnerships and work in tandem with Regional Wealth Strategists, other J.P. Morgan Private Advisory practice groups, and Senior Management to deliver concepts and applications of Advice.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop an expert knowledge on our Approach and Wealth Plan Plus (our proprietary strategic planning technology)
- Leverage Wealth Plan Plus to guide front office colleagues to create a decision-making framework for clients, formulate financial planning strategies, and align solutions across our first class platform in Planning, Investing, Banking and Borrowing
- Deliver first-class level service by answering incoming calls from integrated team members regarding many factions of Advice promptly and professionally, many times digging deeper to elevate the conversation and provide a better outcome for our clients
- Work closely with Wealth Strategists to form a dynamic partnership to drive adoption and integration of our Advice Driven Approach and all of the content, intellectual property and technologies that support it
- Create and deliver content as needed for training and development on our Approach, Process, Frameworks and Technologies
- Prepare integrated team members for client conversations by evaluating the client’s analysis and role-playing possible scenarios and strategies
- Leverage your client facing experience to coach integrated team members on how to appropriately profile from a Wealth Planning perspective, overcome objections and deliver appropriate solutions
Required qualification, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Three plus years of experience in the financial services industry or two plus years with a concentration in financial planning required
- Two plus years of experience in Sales, Marketing or Training required
- Two plus years of experience working with financial planning software required
- Series 7 & 66 required for position; unlicensed candidates considered, but required to obtain licenses within 90 days of start date
Preferred qualification, capabilities and skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing tasks in a fast-paced environment
- MBA, JD, CFA, or CFP preferred
- Superior communication skills
- Strong phone skills with the capability to handle a large number of inbound calls and emails
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical/problem solving skills
