Our responsibilities will include all aspects of software development from architecture and system design to implementation and maintenance. This role requires a highly skilled and adaptable engineer who thrives in an ambiguous environment and takes ownership of project delivery from inception to deployment. The ideal candidate will collaborate across teams, mentor engineers and drive innovation while implementing features aligned with our product roadmap. In this role, you will:- Design, develop and maintain scalable, reliable and secure web applications.- Architect robust solutions while considering performance, security and maintainability.- Work with functional leads, business partners, project managers and technical teams in a cross-functional environment to understand requirements and implement solutions.- Provide level-of-effort estimations based on thorough research, code study and work prioritization to inform partners of progress and delivery timelines.- Perform and ensure rigorous code reviews to ensure high-quality code.- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other software engineers.- Identify root causes of complex technical issues and deliver robust fixes.- Share knowledge through presentations, documentations and best practice discussions.- Identify and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and maintainability.- Drive innovation for new and existing solutions through Generative AI and other AI/ML techniques.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 - 10 years in software development experience in Java, with a strong understanding of object-oriented concepts and design.
- Proven frontend development experience with Angular/Vue.
- Proven experience in leading a team of engineers.
- Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms and system design.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining large-scale software systems, with a keen eye for scalability, efficiency, and robustness.
- Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Proficiency in working with Unix operating system.
- Solid knowledge of application performance improvement techniques and caching solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment, displaying a results-driven attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, to both technical and non-technical partners across cross-functional teams.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with AI/ML algorithms and frameworks with experience in integrating AI/ML concepts into software design and implementation.
- Solid understanding of key software architecture principles including load-balancing, system observability, microservices, security, cryptography, performance and reliability.
- Knowledge of AI-powered Assistant tools and IDE integrations.
- Knowledge of cloud data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake is highly valued.
- Hands-on experience in writing components, frameworks and libraries that improve software efficiency and scalability.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP and CI/CD tools.
- Strong appreciation for software quality with experience writing unit tests and collaborating with quality engineering teams to develop comprehensive test plans.
- Working experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
