What you’ll do
Summary:
At SAP, we're integrating state-of-the-art AI technology with our industry-specific data and deep process knowledge to innovate across SAP products & services. Large Language Models (LLMs) are transforming Machine Learning but pose challenges in business applications due to their limited understanding of structured and unstructured business data such as business data models, business process metadata and documentation, which slows the development progress. It is SAP's mission to overcome this challenge within the realm of Business AI. Our goal is to provide Knowledge Graphs (KGs) as key differentiators to address LLM challenges like hallucination and compliance, as well as enable the development of the foundation models on structured data to deliver distinctive generative AI solutions to our customers.
As a Cloud Architect (f/m/d), you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the system architecture strategy for Business Knowledge Graphs. Your primary responsibility will be to provide system architecture guidance, concepts, and support to ensure the successful execution of Knowledge Graph initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Define, own and steer end-to-end architecture and implementation working closely with our engineering team based on the US West Coast
  • Translate use case requirements into architecture definitions
  • Drive execution and delivery of production-ready KG solutions establishing a stable and reliable system architecture environment
  • Ensure adherence to SAP and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) development architecture standards and best practices
  • Drive KG system architecture towards the long-term vision of business knowledge graphs spanning across SAP, collaborating with the Chief Expert of Knowledge Graph and Semantic Technologies
  • Maintain active communication and collaboration with other Development Architects and stakeholders within the organization’s architecture community on relevant architectural adjustments to the system architecture of KG solutions
  • Identify opportunities for reuse of architecture concepts or software parts and cross-team synergies. Align architecture with stakeholders regarding architectural or technical dependencies
  • Integrate inputs and ideas from AI Scientists, AI Researchers, Data Engineers and Knowledge Engineers towards a holistic product vision
