• As part of a multi functional team, you’ll help expanding Discovery capabilities to fulfill growing customer requirements. Your role will cover the whole software engineering life cycle from technical design to implementation, quality assurance, delivery to production as well as maintenance and customer support. If you’re interested, it is also possible to support the designer of the team on requirements engineering tasks as well as in customer interviews. Together with your peers, you’ll work on z/OS based Discovery Library Adpater and a Java based Z Resource Discovery Data Service backend which has Data Core Service, Data API Service, Data Store and PostgreSQL Kafka Connect.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 10+ years programming experience in Java, Assembly, Rexx, Python. Postgres SQL, Java script, Docker and OCP
• Experience in container technologies like docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with DevOps, CICD tools like Jenkins, Maven, Ansible
• Good code writing discipline and an eye for code efficiency
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving techniques
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience working in cloud service providers like IBM Cloud, AWS, Google, Azure.
