The Sales AI -SDS platform team in Amazon Advertising is looking for a motivated Software Development Engineer who can support our end-to-end data infrastructure. You will be developing a robust and scalable platform to support applications, services, and systems consuming TBs of data with sub-second latency. This platform will ensure availability and timely delivery of data necessary for critical decision-making process by our advertising account management leads and account specialists to execute on behalf of Amazon Advertising’s advertiser population. You will design and develop software solutions to support several stakeholders. You are a strong technical leader who effectively partners with other technical leaders in the team, understands the big picture, drives prioritization, builds consensus, and rallies the team behind it. Responsibilities include design and implementation of complex components while maintaining a high bar on quality.Key job responsibilities
Candidates for this position should have strong engineering fundamentals as well as real-world experience. You will showcase diverse architectural approaches and design patterns in your technical design. Think big and stay informed about industry standards in Ad tech space. Communicate effectively across all leadership levels verbally and in writing. Lead deep technical discussions with senior engineers, collaborating to solve challenging problems. You will be able to quickly grasp new systems and provide valuable consultation.
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
