Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience overseeing a hardware manufacturing effort.
1 year of experience as a technical leader in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).
3 years of experience technically leading or managing a team working on development or production of new electrical systems (e.g. satellites, commercial electronics).
Experience driving yield improvement efforts, Six Sigma methods, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and DOE (Design of Experiments).
Experience with reliability engineering and failure analysis methods.
Experience in manufacturing scale-up from an RandD effort to volume production.
Understanding of mechanical, PCB, or silicon fabrication principles and the constraints they impose on physical device design.
