Our Proposal Manager – Transportation will be responsible for the following general activities:
- Independently lead the coordination and preparation of proposals of all sizes, working directly with account, operations, and technical teams; may support large, strategic pursuits, working under the guidance of Senior Sales staff
- Lead and/or support planning and development of small to mid-sized presentations and interviews
- With no supervision, coordinate, write, edit/tailor, and perform research for non-technical proposal sections; ensure compliance; proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate potential issues/variances
- Coordinate/provide direction to graphic designers, publishing technicians, editors, reprographics specialists, and other support staff
- Independently coordinate with and collect information from teaming partners and subconsultants
- Prepare and ensure compliant and timely proposal deliverables by managing self and proposal team, including monitoring progress, managing proposal process and schedule, and meeting client requirements; communicate issues/variances
- Thoroughly understand and apply knowledge of Jacobs identity standards, structure, organization, business approach, and sales process
- Serve as a subject matter expert, advocate, and actively follow sales procedures, policies, protocols, and best practices, including standard file management and archiving procedures, as well as branding guidelines
- Employ and populate/update (as appropriate) business development-related tools and databases
Here's what you'll need
- Experience in AEC market
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business, marketing, communication, technical, or other related field
- At least 8 years of experience in proposal management/coordination
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Proposal management experience in the engineering, architecture, environmental, and/or construction industries (preferably Transportation)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
FOR CANADA LOCATION ONLY -The base salary range for this position is $93,800.00 to $146,600.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across Alberta, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
