As the Site Quality Manager, you will oversee and ensure the quality assurance and control processes at the 3M Cordova facility, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and certifications. Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitory quality performance.
• Oversee the testing and inspection of products and materials. Identify and address any defects or non-conformities. Implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues.
• Lead and manage the quality assurance team, including, chemists, quality engineers, and quality technicians. Provide training and development to staff on quality standards and procedures. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.
• Work with site and division leaders to set short- and medium-term plans and goals, including establishing and managing a budget and overall performance for the quality department.
• Maintain accurate records of quality control activities and results. Prepare and present quality reports to senior plant and division management. Ensure all documentation is up to date and compliant with regulatory and other applicable standards.
• Address customer complaints and concerns related to product quality. Work with customers to understand their quality requirements and expectations. Ensure customer satisfaction through effective quality management.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Implement process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency. Collaborate with other site managers and departments to optimize production processes.

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in quality management, engineering discipline or other technical degree (completed and verified prior to start)
• Seven (7) years of quality, manufacturing, or engineering leadership experience at a manufacturing site in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master’s degree in quality management, engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving and effective communication and leadership skills.
• Having worked with or directly responsible for advanced certification in quality management (e.g. ISO 9001).
• Proficiency in SAP Quality Management software and tools.
• Ten or more years of quality, manufacturing, or engineering leadership at a chemical manufacturing site.
