We are looking to hire APAC Data Center Lead. This position is focused on the growth of the APAC Data Center market share and the capture and execution of Data Center projects in the Asia and ANZ. The individual will be responsible for filling multiple roles depending on the project needs. These include Strategic Account Management, Managing Design & Project Managers, Project Acquisition, Project Director and Design Team Management. Responsibilities include general management, technical, financial, staff recruitment and Client/external stakeholder relations. Demonstrate understanding and ability to apply the knowledge and skills required of a project director required in the Data Center / Advanced Technology industry; and demonstrate understanding and application of pursuit and project execution processes.

  • Perform as the Project Manager/Director taking responsibility for the management of the team and performance of the technical and financial aspects of the projects.
  • Work closely with all engineering disciplines to develop coordinated, cost effective and well-planned work practices.
  • Leads and manages the team (Architects and Engineers) through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout, consistent with established project delivery processes to the meet the scope, schedule, budget and other specified requirements stated in the contract.
  • Completes the scope of work to the satisfaction of the Client, while simultaneously ensuring that Jacobs HS&E, quality, financial, risk management; business and policy expectations are met. Recognize cultural sensitivities with Clients from other parts of the world.
  • Leads or plays a significant role in the business development activities leading to the award of the contract. This typically includes Client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, proposal preparation, orals presentation, and contract negotiation consistent with established business development processes.
  • Work with incumbent Design & Operations teams to develop, mentor and recruit staff with the technical skills to manage and deliver projects in the Data Centre and Advanced Technology market.
Here's what you'll need

To be a successful candidate, you shall possess:

  • BEng or BSc in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Membership e.g. Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer / PMP would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience working in a design consultancy environment with a minimum of 5 years of Data Center project experience.
  • Proven capability to manage a large Data Center project of high complexity.
  • Strong working knowledge in design and construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, environmental and LEED applications, team building and client relationship building.
