Job responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Collaborate with front office, operations, and other technology teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment on product specifications.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and documentation to track progress and ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of new products to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and resolve any technical or operational issues that may arise during the onboarding process.
• Provide ongoing support and training to stakeholders on new product features and functionalities.
• Continuously evaluate and improve onboarding processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Proficient in coding using the following technology stack: Python, JavaScript, Java, Junit, Maven, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Spring Batch
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of equity derivatives products, the structure and the risk associated.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Familiarity with one or more DBMS like Oracle, MySQL, or others
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages and software tools (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java)
