Key job responsibilities
1. **Team Leadership and Development:** Lead and mentor a diverse team of software and data engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and continuous learning while driving the development of scalable and efficient data processing systems.2. **Data Governance and Compliance:** Ensure the accuracy, accessibility, compliance, and confidentiality of the datasets, enabling seamless support for scientific innovations, business analytics, legal inquiries, and cross-functional stakeholder needs.3. **Technical Strategy and Delivery:** Define and execute the technical vision for the team improving the precision and speed of innovation in the product detail page.4. **Stakeholder Collaboration:** Partner with key teams, including teams in Buying Experience, Offer ranking, Ads, Analytics, and Pricing, to deliver impactful data solutions that drive key business metrics and enable strategic decision-making.5. **Operational Excellence:** Drive robust mechanisms for monitoring, anomaly detection, troubleshooting, and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring 24/7 reliability and scalability to process tens of terabytes of data daily across five unique datasets.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
