What You’ll DoWhat You’ll Bring
- Operate 5-axis CNC gundrilling machining center in a low-volume / high-mix workflow
- Follow process documents and perform setups and operations as described
- Monitor drilling operations for signs of tool-wear, breakage, or other issues
- Setup, measure, and inspect gundrills and other cutting tools
- Provide feedback to engineers and CNC programmers on design and process improvement
- Machine complex components to tight tolerances in various materials with tight deadlines
- Track and document the machining processes and results
- 5+ years of 5-axis CNC machining operating experience and 3+ years of 5-axis CNC gundrill operating experience. (CHETO or Unisig experience preferred. Heidenhain control experience preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of industry leading gundrilling tooling and practices
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings, documents and GD&T
- Thorough knowledge in the use of measurement and inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, bore gauges, optical comparator, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail, mathematical skills, and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to develop and present technical information
- Flexible with ability to work overtime on short notice based on strategic needs of the company
