We are looking for an extraordinary Software Engineer focused on Networking and AI factories challenges. Your primary responsibilities will be customer engineering engagements for NVIDIA Networking products for systems deployed in the AI factories. You will be working multi-functionally with multiple internal organizations as well as ensuring a positive experience for external customers. You should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and have experience working with embedded systems. You will use your people skills and your technical knowledge to provide design-in support for our networking and AI products in customer systems. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently are essential. Experience with networking, DPDK or DOCA is a plus, as well as the ability to pick up new technologies and skills.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Establish yourself as a technical expert in embedded networking products, mainly BlueField and ConnectX product lines, directly supporting sales account and program managers, working closely with the team to secure design wins

  • Continuously learn and ramp up on new technologies

  • Engage with strategic customers and partners to train, design, build, and productize solutions based on our networking products

  • Identify customer architectures and key product and production requirements with regard to AI networking at hyperscale, software-defined networking and the latest GPU hardware

  • Provide technical guidance and direction to other developers in the group to execute as a single cohesive unit

  • Represent the group in cross-org/leadership and customers technical discussions

What we need to see:

  • A Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related science degree (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ overall years in a similar or related role

  • Capable of working in a constantly evolving environment without losing focus on customer success

  • Strong affinity for innovation

  • Knowledge of networking protocols, especially RoCE, IB and the common L1 to L4 protocols

  • Background in high-performance networking and low-level programming

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives, priorities, and implementations of new technology and products into sophisticated projects

  • Fast Learner

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Proved record working with customers and developing strategic solutions

  • Embedded, Networking, DPDK or DOCA development experience

  • Hands-on experience in Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) technology

  • Hands-on experience in AI workloads, NCCL, CUDA, Congestion Control and performance tuning

  • Documentation and knowledge-sharing abilities
