This is a senior position that sits within US Personal Banking, Independent Risk Management, and reports to the Director of Retail RWA Oversight function (Retail Risk Accountable Unit lead). The role provides leadership bench strength to Citi’s effort of building a sustainable Capital estimation & management process
Job requirements include:
- Support/ manage timely completion of deliverables with regards to key Basel processes owned by Retail Credit Risk.
- Review Advanced RWA model output for reasonableness; review/challenge/ approve overlays as appropriate
- Participate/ contribute in presentation of Advanced RWA model output to Risk Governance Forums for the risk stripe; obtain approval
- Partner with model sponsors to submit required reports/analytical package to FCRO for use in Senior Risk Governance forums
- Oversee creation of analytical packages (working with model sponsors & Finance CRO) to review RWA results for both SRWA and ARWA in various Risk and Finance executive forums
- Lead and/ or participate in discussions with businesses to identify reasons for changes/ movements in RWA
- Use SME knowledge (Basel and Risk management practices) to review/ challenge justifications provided by business and model sponsors
- Oversee and/ or execute controls to monitor adjustments e.g., overlays etc. for compliance with MRM policy
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory notification requirements for Adv. RWA systems
- Oversee accuracy of model inventories and related model changes to support Regulatory notification requirements (BCC 14-2)
- Oversee remediation of model, data, and process limitations as well as any non-compliance with MRM Policy, working in partnership with model sponsors
- Participate/ contribute to providing risk assigned documents/ sections of Capital policies, standards, procedures etc.
Qualifications
- Advanced Degree (Masters) in Statistics, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Engineering, or other quantitative discipline is desired but not mandatory
- 8+ years of work experience, with 5+ years of experience in an analytical capacity required
- Demonstrated experience in development and/or
- Oversight of models
- Structuring and integration of broad and diverse data sources
- Technology infrastructure and processes
- RWA/ Basel processes
- Stress testing aggregation
- Understanding of Consumer Credit Profit & Loss Drivers preferred
- Strong writing skills - ability to structure and write standards and manage governance documents
- Detailed-oriented, high level of intellectual curiosity and strong sense of ownership
