As a Software Engineer III - Python + AWS Developer at JPMorgan Chase within theCommercial & Investment Bank -

Job Responsibilities :

• Support BAU and enhancement
• Own the development of parts of the strategic applications.
• Review peer code quality, follow established SDLC and project governance processes.
• Build close business relationships with the stakeholders and manage business delivery.
• Work closely with other tech and business teams within and outside Credit, PF & CPG Lending.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills :

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
• Strong OO programming concepts.
• Strong knowledge of Python.
• Creative, quick-thinking, pragmatic, with an aptitude for solving problems.
• Proven organizational skills, decisive priority management with a commercial mindset, strong teamwork ethic, excellent verbal & written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills :

• Experience with C++ on Linux and Windows, AWS, Perl scripting, Excel/VBA
• RDBMS like Oracle or MySQL and strong database concepts
• Qualified to degree level in Computer Science, Math or related science discipline
• Credit SME or SME for another complex financial asset class
• 1 year or more of software engineering experience in a Front Office capacity
• Curiosity to learn the Credit business and products
