Key Qualifications
  • Impact product design decisions by providing reliable analysis and thermal insights.
  • Lead in the design and implementation of thermal solutions; Participate in team design reviews and technology investigations.
  • Specify and optimize all aspects of thermal control parameters.
  • Define and guide thermal experiments to characterize thermal materials, components and systems; Analyze thermal test data and prepare reports.
  • Communicate status and results to cross-functional teams and management.
  • Travel occasionally to Asia for supplier meetings and factory builds.
Description
-5 or more years of thermal design experience in consumer electronics, datacenters/servers, or similar-In-depth knowledge of heat sinks, fans and blowers-Experience with manufacturing, thermal components supply chains and cross-communications between design, ODM and third party vendor teams- OEM and factory DOE experience highly desirable-Mastery of CFD simulation and comparable modeling approaches-Highly motivated individual-Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Education & Experience
MS or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Thermal Design, Heat Transfer or Fluid Dynamics.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
