As a Data Management Sr Associate in the Office of the Chief Data Officer, you will play a crucial role in implementation of JPMC data governing policies, standard and procedures. Your responsibilities will include ensuring data stores are owned and managed in accordance with applicable JPMC governing policies, standard and procedures, perform risk assessment through metrics, access control effectiveness and facilitate reporting of data risks to appropriate forums, council and stakeholders.

Job responsibilities:

  • Identify data owners for data stores , enable them to fulfill data risk management requirements through trainings and development of job aids.
  • Monitor and analyze data risk metrics, identify non-compliances, collaborate, and influence concerned data owners and relevant stakeholders for timely remediation of non-compliances.
  • Collaborate to facilitate Data Governance Council meetings, report status governance program, highlight emerging risks and issues.
  • Ensure Data Governance operating model including roles and responsibilities, process definitions and controls are documented and actively managed to align to the requirements of Firmwide policy, standard and procedures.
  • Manage Data Governance policy, standard and procedure requirements exception requests.
  • Support Firmwide Office of the CDO with data , where needed, to produce Firmwide metrics.
  • Represent LOB in Firmwide/ regional forums and working groups to ensure LOB specific considerations are covered in Firmwide policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Control Managers to review control performance and assist in leading control redesign when required.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to analyze functional requirements.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other supporting materials for Data Governance projects.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • At least 6 years of experience working in Office of the CDO in BFSI industry
  • Proficiency in managing data governance programs including roles and responsibilities.
  • Experience in providing training to Data Owners on managing data risk
  • Experience in driving regulatory assessments, managing regulatory implementation and
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to succinctly communicate messages to various levels of the organization
  • Ability to build positive working relationships, influence stakeholders
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, Power Point, Visio, Word, SharePoint)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Knowledge of data governance related laws and regulations applicable for UK and Germany.
  • Ability to analyze process, identify data retention and destruction risks and design controls
  • Handling exposure to regulatory bodies in an advantage
