The Yield and Diagnostics group works on improving post-silicon debug techniques and driving yield improvement for Qualcomm Snapdragon products on the newest technologies in advanced semiconductor processes (FinFET, GAA, etc). In this role, you will join a global technical team collaborating with Design, Process, Product, Test, and Failure Analysis teams, as well as EDA Software vendors. Responsibilities include finding opportunities and creating innovative memory diagnostics (bitmapping) solutions and debug methods for SRAM and DRAM to keep our competitive edge in the industry. You will lead projects from start to finish and integrate them into world-class high-volume diagnostics and yield engineering systems. The individual chosen for this position must be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and be committed to delivering high-quality work products.
Responsibilities:
Stay current on manufacturing process technologies in the industry and lead the development of new memory diagnostics capabilities for emerging needs.
Create clear project plans with scope, schedules, success criteria, and return on investment.
Work on projects as part of a team with focus on meeting schedules for business needs.
Develop new and innovative solutions for memory diagnostics, developing custom solutions and/or working with EDA vendors for implementation.
·Design experiments to assess diagnostics techniques in a high-volume setting, ensuring quality of results and system efficiencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Engineering Degree (Master's or Ph.D.) with a focus on semiconductor or memory topics.
Practical experience with commercial MBIST Diagnostics (bitmapping) tools such as LogicVision, Tessent, or SMS.
Knowledge of device physics, silicon defects, and wafer fabrication.
Proficiency in memory DFT, memory test algorithms, memory bitmap flows and analysis.
Proficiency in SRAM and DRAM layout, test, fabrication, and device analysis.
Strong skills in data analysis using scripting languages like Perl/Python/Tcl.
Familiarity with Failure Analysis electrical fault isolation techniques is a plus (PEM, LVI, DLS, FIB, TEM, etc.)
12+ years of engineering experience.
3+ years of experience with memory design, DFT, or diagnostics.
This role requires to be onsite in San Diego

Pay range:
$152,000.00 - $228,000.00
