Job Responsibilities

• Work with Research Analysts to understand their data needs, explore public, 3^rdparty and alternative datasets and translate into data/information solutions and data products
• Build, deploy and maintain web crawlers at scale that capture publicly available datasets
• Create, productionize and store enhanced and original data sets; improve data analysis and discovery tools; model the data with focus on ease of storage, retrieval and usability
• Partner with Research Analysts, Data Analysts and Technology team to build an industry leading Data Platform for the use of research analysts as well as internal and external clients
• Coordinate product development in partnership with internal Data Science and Technology teams
• Provide a strategy and framework for data acquisition, data wrangling, data usage and data management activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and develop policies for data access and governance
• Automate publication and analytics workflows for publications by Research Analysts
• Research and analyze datasets using a variety of analytical techniques on tableau, python, excel, etc.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• 1 or more years ofexperience across Data Analysis, Automation, and Web crawling using Python and BI tools.
• Strong knowledge of Python and relevant packages for data handling and manipulation. It is essential that candidate has hands-on experience in Python programming. Any experience of using web scraping libraries like bs4 will be a plus.
• Understanding of SQL, Selenium, Tableau and Excel
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong background in Data structures, Algorithms, Data engineeringwith experience in multiple Data/Technology platforms
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering in computer science or information technology, other Data Science/Analytics fields
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Detail oriented, with a highly disciplined approach to process and controls

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

• Demonstrable interest in finance and investment research
• Prior experience with low-code/ citizen developer tools like Alteryx, UiPath
