The Junior Scheduler reports to the Scheduling Manager/Technical Director and is responsible for reviewing third-party schedules, narratives, and reports for contractual compliance. Also supports custom report filtering and sorting for multiple reporting audiences, supports Scheduling Manager with verifying field work progress commensurate with contractors work plans, earned value, and forecasts, and maintains focus on monitoring and evaluating critical and near-critical paths.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Review third-party schedules and assess compliance and progress
  • Monitor and verify monthly costs and earned value
  • Develop inputs for monthly project progress summary reports
  • Assist in reviewing/analyzing time impact analysis contractor submittals
  • Maintain simplified logic schedules to highlight the status of key interfaces for critical path review
  • Review contractor’s weekly and monthly schedule progress against baseline schedules
  • Monitor key performance indicator reports at contract level and prepare project-level performance indicator reports
  • Prepare schedule updates and narratives for inclusion in project weekly and monthly progress status reports
  • Attend meetings with design consultants, construction management, and contractors to review and comment on baseline schedules and progress schedules
  • Able to work in a dynamic construction site team environment
  • Follow established policies and procedures for scheduling and reporting activities
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate under the direction of the Lead Project Scheduler

Essential Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Ability to review schedules and provide inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform
  • Able to communicate clearly in written and verbal forms
  • Must be flexible and able to balance/prioritize multiple tasks
  • Interact professionally with the project team and external stakeholders
Here's what you'll need
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management,or other related fieldexperience
  • 5years’project controls and time/schedule managementexperience
  • United States Citizenship
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated ability working in OraclePrimavera P6 software as a user
  • Experience in engineering and/or construction work process and activity sequence
  • Understandsbasicearned value progressprinciples
  • Some experience in construction management planning and scheduling
  • Experienceinheavy civil construction isdesirable
  • Must be able to traverse(walk and climb)large construction sites with ease
