Your role and responsibilities
As a software developer, you will work with clients and others in a multidisciplinary team to define requirements and develop solutions. You will design, code, and test solutions for IBM Z platform, that use programming languages including Java ,Python, PL1.You would also be involved in process automation and code deployment using top of stack scripting languages and tools.

Required technical and professional expertise
- 3-5 years of experience in in Java development , experience working with the Eclipse platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement software solutions.
- Experience with SCMs like Git and IBM Engineering Workflow Management
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for learning and staying current with new technologies and trends in Java development and the Eclipse platform.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Experience with VS Code and building VS Code Extensions is a plus but not mandatory
- Experience and Proficiency in scripting with a solid grasp of its syntax and tooling.
- Familiarity with z/OS systems is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience with cloud-based development platforms (e.g., IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic development environment.
