Program Controls Specialist

The Project Controls Organization’s (PCO) primary function is to ensure all customer projects follow standard methodology and ensure all projects are setup, reviewed and maintained to the Honeywell HBS standards in financial and project execution systems. PCO ensures data integrity by enforcing compliance to project management methodology, and project accounting requirements.

What You’ll do:

Deploy standard systems and processes for the project reviews and bring in consistency to ensure common project control processes are followed for all projects

Leverage existing tools and systems to optimize the Project Control Processes

Implementation of the standard Project Controls tool sets and work processes on all projects assigned within regional Operations.

Set-up of projects schedules, tracking, reporting, highlights deviations and proposes recovery plans.

Set-up of project controls tools for Budget control and monitoring project Earned Value and productivity.

Assist in Project timesheet coordination and management.

Support the Project Managers in managing project review, control and reporting processes.

Support Project Manager in planning, scheduling and cost control including monthly review and audit on Projects, setting up of Project Vision (PV)

Perform monthly reviews, projects gating reviews (support affiliates) and audit on projects.

Assist project manager to coordinate internal project reviews and preparation of monthly project reports.

Ensure the Project Control policies and procedures are consistently applied on the projects.

You MUST HAVE

  • Relevant degree or diploma qualification desired, likely to be in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or Building Services.
  • Project management education or certification desirable
  • Membership of a QS or Contract Law body (e.g. AIQS, RICS) is an advantage
  • Thorough knowledge of Projects field operations and financial processes and reporting tools (including ERP systems)
  • Experience in quantity surveying/cost management/contract administration on construction projects is essential
  • Experience of Contract Law and Security of Payment Acts preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office package skills (e.g. Excel, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.)
