Your impact

Based in California (preferably Southern California), you’ll have the opportunity to work on remediation projects in California for a key federal client. You’ll grow your career as you interact with key client representatives to grow our business while working with recognized technical experts, developing and implementing comprehensive site strategies, and delivering innovative solutions on some of the most challenging sites. You’ll collaboratively manage project teams that include field and office-based staff, senior technical consultants, and technical subject matter experts, with support from Jacobs internal management, to deliver environmental projects with a strong focus and emphasis on environmental remediation.

Here's what you'll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or other closely related engineering degree
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (PG) license
  • Experience as a project manager at large, complex sites involving multiple operable units, non-aqueous phase liquid, and contaminated soil, sediment, and groundwater
  • Experience conducting site investigations/characterizations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, remedial designs/actions, and optimizing remediation systems
  • Experience with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Superfund process
  • Experience in identifying and resolving key issues impacting environmental remedy implementation (technical, regulatory, risk, land use, etc.)
  • Experience as a project manager providing client consulting services and representing clients to stakeholders such as regulatory agencies, property owners, government officials, and other consultants
  • Familiarity with federal and California state regulations

  • The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with clients, contractors, team members, and regulatory agencies
  • The ability to think strategically and critically analyze details. Able to think on multiple levels while gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing all relevant data to make sound recommendations.
