Process Overview:

Global Markets Technology & Operations provides end-to-end technology solutions for Global Markets businesses including Equities, Prime Brokerage, Interest Rates, Currencies, Commodities, Derivatives and Structured Products. Across all these products, solutions include architecture, design, development, change management, implementation and support using various enterprise technologies. In addition, GMT&O provides Sales, Electronic Trading, Trade Work Flow, Pricing, and Market Risk, Middle office, Collateral Management, Credit Risk, Post-trade confirmation, Settlement and Client service processes for Trading, Capital Markets, and Wealth Management businesses.

Job Description

We are looking for experienced Functional Business Analyst with a deep understand of the Fixed Income or Capital Markets domain. Successful candidate is expected to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

• He will require to collaborate with stakeholder across the teams to ensure successful implementation and ongoing optimization of critical systems.
• Partner with business stakeholder to elicit, analyze and document complex business requirements.
• Work closely with developers and testers throughout the development lifecycle to ensure business needs are met.
• Analyze the requirements end to end and document them in the form of BRD, FRD and JIRAs.
• Define business requirements to help design solutions.
• Manage the product backlog and prioritization and working closely with business stakeholders.
• Work with PM to make scorecards. Give visibility of the work being done to the stakeholders
• Active participation in team development processes & ceremonies
• Responsible for articulating complex software requirements to accomplish business goals.
• Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements
• Should have strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask and prioritize
• Critical thinking and the ability to seamlessly span the divide between technology and business is a must.
• Mentor junior developers on the domain aspect – especially those who come with no investment banking background.
• Ability to visualize the data. Run basic queries using SQL and ability to mock data using MS Excel etc.
• Ability to write Stories, create JIRAs and detailed test cases.

Education / Certification:

• Bachelors, PMP, FRM or equivalent

15+ years

Foundational Skills:

• Experience as Functional Business Analyst in the Banking - Fixed income or Capital Markets
• Domain knowledge of pricing and valuation of fixed income instruments, risk management, regulatory requirements
• Deep understanding of the Fixed Income or Capital Markets domain
• Domain knowledge of pricing and valuation of fixed income instruments, risk management, regulatory requirements
• Good knowledge of SDLC, Agile and managing product backlogs
• A proactive approach to problem solving and think innovatively
• Should have strong analytical skills

Desired Skills

• Experience working on regulatory requirements
• FRM or similar certifications
