Job Description

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performs reviews of audits and financial statements to assess investment quality and risk.
  • Monitors portfolio performance and assigns risk ratings in accordance with policy. Works with partners to create action plans and monitor projects for improved project performance.
  • Completes site inspections and meetings with partners to ensure program compliance and asset/loan quality.
  • Reviews and interprets operating agreements, loan agreements and other legal documents relating to equity investments and loans to protect the divisions rights and financial interests.
  • Prepares internal written and verbal reporting on portfolio performance, constructing arguments that display critical thinking
  • Ensures that assigned investment projects adheres to U.S. Bancorp policies and procedures and conforms to regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for keeping current on various tax credit policies, banking laws and regulations, economic and industry trends, and banking products and services related to asset management of investments and loans.
  • Prioritizes competing tasks while continuing to meet all deadlines.
  • Participates in special projects to increase team’s efficiency or client satisfaction.
  • Monitors project insurance, reserves, capital accounts, etc.
  • Invoices and collects Asset Management Fees from partners.
  • Facilitates equity installment fundings.
  • Makes determination on loan covenant compliance and other compliance related items.
  • Works with various internal departments to facilitate loan payments, open bank accounts, and syndicate deals to investors.
  • Creates a plan for maturing loans, including possible refinancing/re-syndication.
  • Forecasts monthly revenue for portfolio.

- Typically Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically five or more years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

Thorough understanding of tax credit investment management with experience interpretating legal documentation and requirements

General real estate background

Knowledge of LIHTC

Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to complete financial analysis on real estate deals

Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Good relationship management abilities

-ighly motivated, able to work independently, and possesses acute attention to detail

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $102,340.00 - $120,400.00 - $132,440.00 Job postings typically remain open for approximately 20 days of the posting date listed above, however the job posting may be closed earlier should it be determined the position is no longer required due to business need.
