RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform analytical testing on materials and process streams from R&D laboratory and pilot plants and manufacturing following internal procedures and industry guidelines.
• Responsible for setting up instruments, analyzing samples, conducting data quality checks and entering results into laboratory information system (LIMS).
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Communicate with customers on analysis progress and results.
• Participate in method development and equipment troubleshooting activities.
• Be able to work non-business hours on rotational schedule.

The annual base salary range for this position is $53,500-$66,900. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. MUST HAVE

• Associate's degree in a scientific discipline, or 2+ years of experience in laboratory or chemical field

WE VALUE

• Degree in Chemistry or related discipline (Biochemistry, Biology, etc).
• Experience with laboratory analyses using gas chromatography (GC), wet chemistry, titration, or organic or physical property (flashpoint or cloud point) testing techniques, viscosity, etc.
• Scientific writing and presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of ASTM or UOP methods and UOP materials and processes
• Knowledge of and adherence to laboratory safety protocols.
