Who You Are

The Engineering DevOps as a Service team at Cisco is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help with development, maintenance, and support of their enterprise-scale Jenkins service deployed in Cisco managed Kubernetes clusters. EDaaS is a fast-paced group that is enabling the modernization of development workflows within Cisco Engineering with modern cloud-native tools and processes.

  • We are looking for someone with experience deploying and administrating Jenkins running on cloud platforms.
  • The ideal candidate is self-motivated with an interest and focus on automation and is excited to be a part of an innovative, collaborative, and ever-evolving development and operations team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experience
  • 4+ years Linux/Unix, Bash/Python scripting, and REST API interactions
  • Experienced with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, SonarQube, Git platforms, and Docker and dependency management tools like Maven and Gradle.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience in networking principles, scaling applications, and managing Git workflows.

Preferred Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge in administering GitHub, Jenkins, and Artifactory with a focus on security
  • Proficiency in using Git LFS for binary data storage within Gitrepositories.
  • Practical experience with AWS or othercloud technologies,
  • Familiarity with LDAP, SAML, OAuth, and OIDC for identity management
