JOB DESCRIPTION

As part of a team that designs, modifies, and implements test equipment solutions supporting Qualification to DO-160 and Mil Std 461. You will support the development of or the investigation/analysis of issues to root cause and propose the fix, implement changes, and verify & validate the final solution. Turning Honeywell Requirement Specifications into deliverable products.

Lab: You will work with a cross functional team to test products through the Development and Qualification cycle. Investigate and analyze issues to root cause and propose fixes then verify & validate the final solution.

As Point of Contact with Internal Customers you will present Test Data and findings and clearly communicate next steps with the team

• Supporting setup, installation and execution of various EMI test programs per test plans and procedures
• Using basic knowledge of engineering fundamental tools and lab equipment to complete defined project subtasks.
• Creating verbal & written test result reports / log books for the Engineering Publications group
• Reviewing test plans and/or instructions to determine support hardware requirements and identify potential problems prior to test.
• Providing technical support to the project and systems engineering teams
• May interact with internal customers and team members in order to facilitate the completion of Product Qualification to customer specification.
• Committing to test schedules and providing excellent quality of work to meet projected costs through effective communication and cooperation
• Ensuring compliance to Aerospace processes and procedures. • Demonstrate initiative and execution to drive test process and continuous improvements.
• Support execution of Honeywell Operating System (HOS) initiatives to include Kaizen events and 5S maturity process in order to continuously improve Lab areas
• Supporting Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives and audits


WE VALUE

• Previous experience in an Aerospace, Automotive or commercial EMI/EMC test lab.
• Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) measurement tools is preferred,
• Proactive in meeting program cost, schedule and product performance
• Demonstrates strong performance in a team environment
• Possess the ability to function in a rapidly changing Laboratory environment with sometimes ambiguous test instructions
• Strong command of English and excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) tools is required.

The successful candidate will be required to travel regularly to Ottawa in support of EMI test.
