On-Call Responsibility
This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every two months. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice.Key job responsibilities- Design scalable architectures for low-latency data processing- Improve the observability, performance, and efficiency of our current systems
- Raise the bar for testing, repeatability, and automation
- Mentor less experienced engineers on mental models, decision making, technical skills, and leadership principles.About the team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Proficiency in the Rust programming language
- Experience with large-scale data processing and analysis
