Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of piping and mechanical equipment (chillers, pumps, exchangers) and plumbing systems (domestic, industrial, reclaimed water, sanitary sewer) for the data center
Lead daily whiteboard meetings with contractors to plan work and conduct weekly safety meetings to assess safety adherence and project progress
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other trades (electrical, structural) to integrate MEP systems into the overall project
Oversee subcontractors to ensure timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality standards
Perform regular inspections to ensure piping and plumbing systems comply with blueprints, codes (ASME, ASHRAE, UPC, NFPA), and industry standards
Enforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols on-site
Assist in the testing, startup, and turnover of mechanical and plumbing systems, ensuring readiness for data center operations
What You’ll Bring
Minimum of 7 years in mechanical and plumbing construction, including 3 years in a supervisory role. Prior experience on data center or mission-critical facility projects is highly preferred
Strong understanding of piping, mechanical equipment, and plumbing systems specific to data centers
Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30, journeyman/master plumber license, or piping certification are strongly preferred
Proficiency in construction management software (Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with ASME piping codes, local building codes, International Mechanical Code (IMC), Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), and data center-specific standards (Uptime Institute Tier Standards)
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with stakeholders
