As a Risk Strategy Senior Associate on the team, you will support a variety of strategic projects that help our senior executives run a best-in-class Risk Management & Compliance organization. You will be responsible for managing processes that assist senior executives in identifying and mitigating key risks facing the firm and contributing to ongoing analysis and presentations that inform decision-making. You will have exposure to a diverse set of topics and risk areas, as well as opportunities to influence strategy, find creative solutions and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the development of the firm’s monthly key risk summary, including reviewing and refining content, and coordinating submissions across multiple stakeholders to drive consistency
- End-to-end coordination of logistics to support the deliverable, including management of collaborative software solution (Workiva Wdesk), prep meetings and management of timelines amidst competing priorities
- Mange a diverse network of stakeholders spanning across levels and businesses/functional groups
- Provide coaching and feedback for colleagues across the organization and varying levels of seniority to influence the crafting of strong executive-level presentations
- Support the team’s focus on continuous improvement by spearheading efforts to identify and apply technology, tools, automation, etc. to reduce inefficiencies and increase productivity
- Monitor industry trends and share insightful reports and analyses with broader team and with senior executives
- Deliver on a variety of projects and deadlines with a high degree of organization and discipline
- Demonstrate exceptional judgement, problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and attention to detail
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience
- Diverse problem-solving experience from either a premier management consulting firm, corporate strategy or another internal strategy group
- Strong, clear, and concise written and verbal communication with ability to edit and prepare executive level communications, often on complex, nuanced concepts
- Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint (absolutely required)
- Excellent organizational skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- High degree of attention to detail, diligence, initiative, and ability to work well under pressure
- Proven ability to collaborate, build strong partnerships, and manage stakeholders (including working with senior-level executives)
- Outstanding judgment, problem solving ability and resourcefulness
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Financial services industry experience
- Experience with Workiva products, specifically WDesk
- Understands the evolving market and operating environment, including key Risk Management & Compliance concepts
